Light of Beatitude by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hello lovely peeps!  I hope you had a happy weekend.  We've had quite the snowstorm here.  I am sharing my DT card which I made for Ching-Chou Kuik's Facebook challenge.  She also has a blog challenge.
If you enter one, or both, you may win some beautiful images.
The DT's theme for this week is "Mythical Creatures".  I love mermaids and so I chose the glorious "Light of Beatitude" image, found here:

I used Copic Markers and Polychromos pencils to colour her.  The lace was originally white but I dyed it with Glimmer Mist (Cosmos).  Her wings are covered with clear Wink of Stella.  I made the flowers.  Enjoy your day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools used

Lily pad:  SVG file
Flowers:  Fiskars punches (small and medium)
Die cut behind image:     Spellbinders "Big Scalloped Circles" dies
Label behind sentiment:  Spellbinders "Vintage Lace Motifs" dies  (cut down to shorten it)

Lace, pearls, prills, Wink of Stella and glimmer Mist are from my stash.

Susie Sunshine by Conie Fong

Hi everybody!  A second post by me today.  Miracles do happen sometimes - LOL!  This beauty is Conie Fong's "Susie Sunshine", found here:
I created this DT inspirational card for Conie's current Facebook challenge (theme:  Happy Birthday). She also has a Colouring Only challenge

The mediums that I used are Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I decided to make a little scene for this sweet image.  The edges of the butterflies' wings are glittered.

The large balloon was made by printing out the image in a larger size and added the sentiment before I fussy cut it.  I placed 3-D pop dots underneath the balloon, and finally tied some black cord on the bottom.  My flowers are handmade.   Well, that's all from me today.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Top border:  Memory Box "Pristine Border" die (cut twice)
Border:         Martha Stewart "Modern Garland" punch (cut twice)
Fence:          Impression Obsession "DIE004-J Fence" die
Butterflies:   Momenta - Recollections cutting die template 542704 - Butterfly
Flowers:       EK Success "Retro" punches (small and medium)

Ribbon, Swarovski crystals, beads, black cord and  glitter are from my stash.

Little Sprout by Ching-Chou Kuik

Good morning/afternoon!  This is my second DT inspirational card for Ching-Chou Kuik's current Facebook challenge.
The Design Team was challenged to "Use Your Least Favourite Colour" this week.  Mine is orange but I do like the way it turned out.  I used the sweet "Little Sprout" image, found here:

I fussy cut the bottom of her dress for some interest.  She's coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  The blue and orange flowers are handmade, as is the pinwheel bow.  Ching-Chou also has a challenge blog.  If you enter this challenge, or both, you have a wonderful opportunity to win some beautiful images.

Have a lovely week.  Hugs, Lori xx

Tender Blue by Ching-Chou Kuik

A very Happy New Year to you!  This is my first DT card this year which I made for Ching-Chou Kuik's brand new 2020 monthly Facebook challenge. The theme is "New Year, New Beginnings or New Crafty Stash".
What better way than to start off with a new birthday card, right?  This stunning image is "Tender Blue", found here:
Items for "New Crafty Stash" include the flower die, the vine die, the gold button and coloured seashells.

As always, I used my usual mediums (Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils) to colour this lovely image.  I made the flower and the pinwheel bow. I cut the frame twice to make it longer than its original size and pieced it together.  And, I added cheesecloth under the seashells.

In addition to a Facebook challenge,Ching-Chou also has a challenge blog.  There are some wonderful images that you can win if you enter either one.

That's all from me.  Thank you for stopping by, and I hope to see you soon.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Foliage:  Memory Box "Small Marianna Vine" die
Flower:   Spellbinders "Succulent and Mum Flower" dies
Frame behind sentiment:  Spellbinders "Inverted Scalloped Square" dies

Pearls, cheesecloth, Prills and ribbon are from my stash.
