Snowman with Baubles by Conie Fong

Hi, crafty friends!  It's hard to believe that Christmas is almost upon us.   We are expecting some snow on Christmas eve, so it will look like a winter wonderland here on Christmas day.  How perfect!  I have always loved snow!

I chose this delightful image "Snowman with Baubles" for my DT inspiration card.  You can find it in Conie's etsy shop here:
I created this card for Conie's monthly Facebook challenge.  Conie is offering an adorable free snowman digital image this month, and a couple of other freebies, too.  Check it out here:

In addition, Conie's Facebook group will give you information on some amazing giveaways that she is offering on Kit and Clowder's Facebook group.  Don't miss out on these festivities.

As always, I have used my favourite mediums to colour this darling image (Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils).  I wish you the special gifts of this beautiful holiday season...peace, joy and lasting happiness.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!  Hugs, Lori P xx

The Moment by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hi, crafty friends!  Today, I am showcasing my 2nd DT inspirational card which I made for Ching-Chou Kuik's monthly Facebook challenge.  Our theme this month is "Celebrations".

This theme lends itself to many different interpretations.  I chose this delightful image ("The Moment") because I love to read, and teacups and fairies have always held a fascination for me.  This image can be found in Ching-Chou's etsy shop here:

I wanted to include a book charm on this card.  It was snowing on the day that I was making it.  I was too lazy to drive in the snow, so I made my own tiny book charm.  And, it has pages that can be flipped!  How cool is that?  Here is a close-up of my book:

If you look closely, the author's name is "F.C. Markers".  Who is that?  Well, "F.C." is for Faber-Castell pencils and "Markers" is for Copic Markers (my favourite mediums for colouring).  I thought that was rather clever - LOL!

As usual, I made my flowers and pinwheel bow.  That's all from me.  Have a lovely day!  Lori P xx

Recipe

Leaves:  Cheery Lynn "Flourish Leaf" strip
Flowers:  EK Success "Retro" punch (small and medium)

Moon Glow

Hello, dear peeps!  The current Aurora Wings Challenge is
"Once Upon a Dream or a Nightmare".
It ends tonight (11:55 pm EST).  Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?  LOL!  I have always loved looking at the sky, whether it be at night or during the day.  I will say, though, that here is something truly magical about the night sky.  I was trying to decide which one of Mitzi's gorgeous images to use for my card.  While looking through my papers, I came across this gorgeous "Moon Glow" image by Hannah Lynn which I had printed out some time ago.  The light went on in my head!  So, here is my card:

This gorgeous image was a freebie but you can also find it in Hannah Lynn's etsy shop here:

Holly Fairy

Hi everybody!

The weather here has been so miserable.  It either rains or it's dark and dreary.  Add the loss of Daylight Savings Time to that and it seems to be dark 24/7.  I'm not sure I know what the sun looks like anymore!  On a brighter note, here is my DT card which I made for Ching-Chou Kuik's current Monthly Facebook Challenge.
This fabulous image is "Holly Fairy" and is found here (along with 3 other beautiful images):

I have coloured her with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  Her wings are glittered.  The green border was made with Heartfelt Creations' "Delicate Border Basics" die.  The poinsettia was made with the "Tattered Poinsettia" die by Tim Holtz. The pretty leaves are from Heartfelt Creations' "Large Sparkling Poinsettia" stamp.  I fussy cut the leaves.  I love to make my own pinwheel bows.  If anyone is interested in learning how to make them, check out this tutorial:

Ballerina Kitty

Hi there, peeps!

Well, another rainy day here. The theme at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog this month is a wonderful one ("Inspired by Music").  https://aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com/  As we all know, the power of music is remarkable in so many ways.

I decided to use Aurora Wings'  gorgeous "Ballerina Kitty" because, as a little girl, I always wanted to take ballet lessons.  Unfortunately, it didn't happen but there's not a day that goes by that I don't listen to music.  This delightful image makes me think of Tchaikovsky's beautiful ballet "Swan Lake".   It can be found here:

I made my own piano template.  I love to make piano shaped cards and so I've used this template a number of times.  The black keys are raised with 3-D dots.  It's tedious work but I am pleased with the results. Here is a close-up of the sweet image:

When the card is opened, you can see the piano shape:

She is coloured with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  The corner die cut is made with Crafter's Companion's "Lace Corner" die.  The tiny leaves are made with Cheery Lynn Designs' "Flourish Leaf Strip" die.   My flowers are handmade.  Ribbon and Swarovski crystals are from my stash. I'm am going to enter this card on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog as well.  http://thepapershelter.blogspot.com/

Have a lovely day!  Lori P xx
