Purple Woods by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hi everyone!  April is my favourite month of the year because my two sons were born on this beautiful month.

Every spring, I find it so exciting to see all the greenery come to life.  I also love the morning time symphony carried out by sweet little birds outside my window.  And then, of course, there is the lovely fragrance of flowers, the longer days and all the great spring activities.  So many lovely sights, sounds and smells to enjoy!

I am sharing my latest DT inspiration card made with Ching-Chou Kuik's gorgeous "Purple Woods" image, found here:

I created this card for Ching-Chou's monthly Facebook challenge.
There is also a blog challenge.
April's theme for both challenges is "Cats and Dogs".

Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils were used to colour this image.  I made all the flowers.

Happy Spring to you!  Lori P xx

Halloween Dusk

A good morning/ afternoon to you!

I hope you had a lovely weekend.  Guess what?  It's raining here, again.  But, it's a brand new week and so I am delighted to share my 3rd and final DT inspirational card made for Ching-Chou Kuik's monthly Facebook Challenge.
You can win some lovely images if you participate.  This stunning image is "Halloween Dusk" and can be found in her etsy shop, along with another beautiful Halloween image, here:

I love Halloween but even more so when my sons were little.  I made all their costumes and went Trick-or-Treating with them every year.  What fun we all had.  I sure miss those days!

Here is a closer look:

I have coloured her with a combination of Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  The ghost is made with Impression Obsession's "Halloween Die Set" die.  The frame is made with Martha Stewart's "Halloween Spiderweb" Around the Page punches.

The flowers are handmade.   Trim and floss are from my stash.  Have a wonderful week!  Lori P xx
