Greetings friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  The Design Team members have been on their holiday break but now Team A is back for The Paper Shelter's first challenge (#621) of 2025.

The theme for this week is:

A WINTERY PROJECT or
SHADES OF BLUE

I decided to go with the Shades of Blue theme for my card.  I chose the fabulous Tuxedo Always Works by TPS digital stamps.  I used this image once before but with different colours.  Here is my DT card:

Poinsettia Sprite by Aurora Wings

Greetings friends!  I made this project a number of years ago but never posted it.  I decided to try my hand at a book folding candle.

I coloured the adorable "Poinsettia Sprite" digital image by Aurora Wings with Copic markers.  Then, I proceeded to fussy cut her.  Unfortunately, she is no longer available.

I found a video on how to make a book folding candle. See here.  This was somewhat tedious but well worth it. Once I finished the candle and hot glued the ends together, I glued it onto a flat lid.  I glued the little sprite onto the front of the candle, and decorated it.  I placed a tee light candle at the top.  And voila...a book fold candle!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday and a wonderful new year.  Hugs, Lori xx

Mushroom Snail YouTube Video Tutorial by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  I made this card months ago and never got around to posting it.  I already posted a card featuring the same image but with a brown mushroom.  This time, I coloured the mushroom red.

You can learn how to draw this super sweet image by following Conie Fong's YouTube video tutorial, along with other truly adorable simple images.  Conie converted this image into JPEG format for the Design Team members to colour so that you can see how versatile and adorable this image is.  I used Copic markers to colour it.  The corners are by QuicKutz dies.

If you decide to draw this image yourself, you can then post it on Conie's Facebook group called Draw with Conie.

Conie also has another Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design Group.  You will find some lovely inspiration there by the other Design Team members, and other crafters who love Conie's images.

That's all for this post.  I wish you a happy holiday.  Hugs, Lori xx
