Kimono Kayuki by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  Welcome to today's post.  This will probably be my last post for while because I will be having major surgery at the end of this month.

I love Conie Fong's images and so I created this card using Conie Fong's beautiful Kimono Kayuki image for my Design Team card.  Actually, this is the third card that I created with this lovely image.

I coloured this beauty with Copic markers.  The flowers are handmade.

For more inspiration, check out Conie Fong's Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design.

Take good care of yourselves.  Hugs, Lori xx

Resources and Tools Used

Kimono Girl by Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  I am so ready for spring. Are you?  I, for one, have had enough of winter for a while.  I love the idea of longer days so I am always thrilled when Daylight Savings Time begins.  Yay!

A new challenge starts today on the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog.  The theme is always "Anything Goes".

Kimono Kayuki by Conie Fong

Hi peeps!  I made a card a week ago with this darling image ("Kimono Kayuki").  I love it so much that I decided to make another card with it for Conie's Facebook challenge (theme:  "Use Glitter or Sparkle on Your Creation").   This time, I coloured her kimono purple.  I used glitter paper for the frame, the left edge of the patterned paper and the sentiment.  I also added a Swarovski crystal for more sparkle, and glittery floss.  You can find her here:

I made the 3-D fan with Spellbinders "Classic Scalloped Circles" die, and stamped some flowers on it.  As always, I have coloured her with a combination of Copics and Polychromos pencils.   Enjoy your weekend, and I also wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Border:  Joy Crafts "Frame and Three Corners" die 6002/0356
Fan:       Spellbinders "Classic Scalloped Circles" die (small)
Stamped flowers: Kanban Crafts stamp

Embroidery floss, Swarovski crystals and glitter paper are from my stash.

Kimono Kayuki by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  I am back today to share my 2nd DT inspirational card  made for Conie Fong's monthly Facebook challenge.
The theme is "Use Glitter or Sparkle on Your Creation".  Anyone who knows me can tell you how much I love glitter and sparkle.

This darling image is "Kimono Kayuki", found here:

I used glittered cardstock for the one of the frames, behind the sentiment and for the photo corners.  The border at the top is sparkly, as is the gold embroidery floss on the lantern.  To make the lantern, I copied the patterned paper and enlarged one of the lanterns, fussy cut it and added 3-D foam squares for dimension.  I also added a lovely Swarovski crystal at the top of the lantern for added sparkle.
Enjoy your weekend!  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Photo corners:   Fiskars punch
Border:  Glitter on a Roll (purchased at Michael's Arts and Crafts)

Swarovski crystal and embroidery floss are from my stash.
