Poinsettia Sprite by Aurora Wings

Greetings friends!  I made this project a number of years ago but never posted it.  I decided to try my hand at a book folding candle.

I coloured the adorable "Poinsettia Sprite" digital image by Aurora Wings with Copic markers.  Then, I proceeded to fussy cut her.  Unfortunately, she is no longer available.

I found a video on how to make a book folding candle. See here.  This was somewhat tedious but well worth it. Once I finished the candle and hot glued the ends together, I glued it onto a flat lid.  I glued the little sprite onto the front of the candle, and decorated it.  I placed a tee light candle at the top.  And voila...a book fold candle!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday and a wonderful new year.  Hugs, Lori xx

Mushroom Snail YouTube Video Tutorial by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  I made this card months ago and never got around to posting it.  I already posted a card featuring the same image but with a brown mushroom.  This time, I coloured the mushroom red.

You can learn how to draw this super sweet image by following Conie Fong's YouTube video tutorial, along with other truly adorable simple images.  Conie converted this image into JPEG format for the Design Team members to colour so that you can see how versatile and adorable this image is.  I used Copic markers to colour it.  The corners are by QuicKutz dies.

If you decide to draw this image yourself, you can then post it on Conie's Facebook group called Draw with Conie.

Conie also has another Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design Group.  You will find some lovely inspiration there by the other Design Team members, and other crafters who love Conie's images.

That's all for this post.  I wish you a happy holiday.  Hugs, Lori xx

Christmas Lilly by Moondrea Designs

Hello friends!  I decided to join the monthly Moondrea Designs progressive challenge this month on Facebook.  This gorgeous image is Christmas Lilly by Moondrea Designs.  The challenge will run from December 1 through December 31.

I coloured this beauty with Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated and is backed with QuicKutz "Bottle Cap" die. I added some sparkle on the candle's flame.  Here is my card:

That's all from me for this post.  Take good care of yourselves.  Until next time, Lori xx

Enchanted Serenade by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends.  This week and next, rather than running our usual Blog Hop, the Design Teams at The Paper Shelter is honouring our beautiful co-founder Veronica, who tragically left us on September 25, 2024.

Veronica was a kind, supportive, beautiful soul who, alongside her co-founder Pedro, produced the images we all know and love to create with.  There is a vacuum in the world today, where Veronica used to be, and we will miss her terribly.

This is my Design Team card dedicated to Veronica.

This lovely image called Enchanted Serenade by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps and is coloured with Copic markers.  I decided to print the sentiment on the sides of the image. I added two Swarovski crystals on the inside of the corners.

Our winner for our Tribute challenge will win 6 products of their choice if they have used a Paper Shelter image on their entry (you could chose the pre-coloured image, the black and white digi, or the digital paper that comes in the set), or 3 products of their choice if they have used another brand.  You can enter the challenge up to three times provided you have used a Paper Shelter product on at least one of them.

I hope you can join us in this special challenge.  Until next time, Lori xx

Cecilia by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  I hope you are well.  The theme for this week's new challenge on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is:

ADD A NUMBER

For my Design Team card, I chose the lovely Cecilia image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  Here is my card:

I coloured her with Copic markers, and I drew a simple background.  The number 9 was cut out with a Cricut machine.

If you wish to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, please see here.  And, while there, how about joining our challenge?  There are some wonderful prizes up for grabs.

There is also a Facebook group called The Paper Shelter Fan Group where you can see some fabulous inspiration by both TPS teams.

Have a lovely day.  Until next time, Lori xx

Candy Cane Boy Elf by Conie Fong

Greetings friends, and welcome to my post today.  All my Christmas cards are finished.  I learned a long time ago to not wait for the last minute to make my cards.  I am sharing my Design Team card which showcases the delightfully sweet Candy Cane Boy Elf by Conie Fong.  This image comes with two other adorable elves in both JPG and PNG format (8 images in all).

This little guy is coloured with Copic markers.  I added some sparkly red ribbon and a clipart sentiment.

Conie has a Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design Group where you will see some amazing inspiration by the other Design Team members and other crafters as well.  Additionally, Conie has a YouTube channel called Draw with Conie where she teaches you how to draw simple images.  Awesome, right?

Have a lovely weekend.  Hugs, Lori xx

Braids in My Hair by Conie Fong

Hi there friends!  I am such a fan of Conie Fong's  beautiful images.  That said, I am sharing my Design Team card which showcases Braids in My Hair by Conie Fong.  This is the third card that I made using this gorgeous image.

I colored this lovely image with Copic markers and some FC Polychromos pencils.  Since it's fall where I live, I used fall colours this time.  Then, I chalked some areas of the slimline frame, and I added some handmade flowers.

Conie has a Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design Group where you can find some amazing inspiration by the other Design Team members as well as other crafters.  She also has a fabulous YouTube channel called Draw with Conie where she teaches you, step by step, how to draw simple images.

Thank you for stopping by, and hope to see you again soon.  Lori xx
