Lavender Adventure Night

Hello, crafty friends!

Ching-Chou Kuik's monthly Facebook Challenge is going on now.  The theme is "Recycle". I just love to alter liquor bottles with interesting shapes.  So, I decided to alter a Frangelico bottle for my DT project.  This bottle is shaped like a friar in his habit.  So cool! This is what I started with:

I applied gesso as a base over the entire bottle and then painted over it with acrylic paint.  Using glittered paper, I cut out 3 die cuts using Tonic Studio's "Star Trail Die".  I applied  Mod Podge (matte finish) over the bottle before applying the die cuts and the image.  The leaves are from La-La Land Crafts "Open Leaf Flourish Die".

The gorgeous image is "Lavender Adventure Night" by Ching-Chou Kuik, found here: and also here along with two other beautiful images:

Here is what the back looks like:

I coloured the image with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  The flower is handmade.  Lace, pearl borders, necklace, charms and beads are from my stash.

I wish you a happy day!  Lori P xx
