Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! I decided to try my hand at the popular slimline cards. The darling image is Conie Fong's "Poinsettia Gnome" image, found here:
I didn't want to spend money on any slimline dies without knowing if I like making this type of card, so I decided to be creative. I used Martha Stewart Around the Page "Skylands Snowflake" punches. I cut an 8.5" x 4" piece of glittered cardstock and punched out 3 sides. That's the only drawback for using these punches because cutting out 4 sides does not work for slimline cards. But, if you don't mind that, then try it.
For the base of my card I used a 9" x 7 13/16" piece of cardstock and folded it in half. I have quite a few of the MS Around the Page punches and they all work. Nice tip, right?
