Sweetheart by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi peeps! I hope you are all well.  We have a super easy theme this week on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog:  ANYTHING GOES.  I decided to make a birthday card showcasing the adorable Sweetheart image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps. This is my DT inspiration:

As always, my Copic markers and Polychromos pencils were used to colour this cutie.   I generally always colour an image first but, this time, I wanted to use the colours on the lovely background paper, and so I pulled some colours from the paper to colour the image.

This will be our last challenge until August 18 because both Design Teams will be taking a break during this time.

For more inspiration, check out what the other Design Team members made here.  If you have some time, why not join our challenge?  You may win some beautiful images.

  1. I will often fully design a card before I start working on my image, but recently (a bit under time pressures, I think) I've coloured first, and I think it's much harder. I absolutely adore what you've done with this image Lori! Her dress is spectacular! Gorgeous die cut corner. Hope you have a super break!

  4. Hello Lori, oh wow fabulous colouring of the super sweet image there - and I love the background papers. You've done a marvellous job of co-ordinating colours. I'm really bad with my technique - I colour the image in and then wonder what to do with it! Hence my sort of 'style' of pared back card making - no need to panic hunt for matching papers!! I should really be more organised! Thanks for joining in with us at Colour Crazy Challenge, hope to see you again. Sarah - DT
