Christmas Carole by Conie Fong

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my DT post today.  I made this card for Conie Fong's monthly Facebook challenge.  If you join in the fun, you may win some gorgeous images from Conie.

This beauty is "Christmas Carole" by Conie Fong.  I coloured her with my trusty Copic markers.

I used part of Spellbinders "Grand Vaulted Cabinet" dies for the frame around the image.  I have quite a few Martha Stewart Around the Page punch sets, and I find that they work rather well on slimline cards.  Granted, you can only get three sides punched out but I still think they are fabulous.  And, I get to use some of my old punches...LOL.

Thank you for stopping by; I truly appreciate it.  I wish you a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

This beauty was coloured with Copic markers and a touch of Polychromos pencils.

Poinsettia Gnome by Conie Fong

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!  I decided to try my hand at the popular slimline cards. The darling image is Conie Fong's "Poinsettia Gnome" image, found here:

I didn't want to spend money on any slimline dies without knowing if I like making this type of card, so I decided to be creative.  I used Martha Stewart Around the Page "Skylands Snowflake" punches.  I cut an 8.5" x 4" piece of glittered cardstock and punched out 3 sides.  That's the only drawback for using these punches because cutting out 4 sides does not work for slimline cards.  But, if you don't mind that, then try it.

For the base of my card I used a 9" x 7 13/16" piece of cardstock and folded it in half.  I have quite a few of the MS Around the Page punches and they all work.  Nice tip, right?

I made my DT card for Conie Fong's current Facebook challenge:
