Happy Witches Brew by Digi Doodle Studios

Hello friends!  Halloween always brings back some wonderful memories of my children when they would dress up in their costumes and go Trick-or-Treating around our neighbourhood.  What fun they had!  Of course, I would drive them to each house.  I also had a lot of fun making their costumes.

The theme on the Digi Doodle Studios Challenge Blog this month is CREEPY CUTE / SPOOKY / BELIEVE IN MAGIC.  There is also a DDS Facebook challenge.

I chose the fabulous Happy Witches Brew by Digi Doodle Studios for my DT card.  I just had to draw a background for this cute witch.

I used a combination of Copics and Polychromos to colour the image and background.  The cobwebs and the cute little black kitty are stamps that I have in my stash.

I am really sad to inform you that Digi Doodle Studios will be closing its etsy shop at the end of this month.  So, hurry over and visit before they close their doors.  They will, however, continue to produce clear stamps, dies and more on Ink n' Splatter.

Thank you for visiting.  I truly appreciate it.  Have a lovely day, and take good care of yourselves.  Hugs, Lori xx

Pixie by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hey there, friends!  Summer began in my neck of the woods yesterday.  I have to say that summer is my least favourite season.  Too hot and humid, and way too many bugs.  However, I do love that the days are longer.

Challenge #517 starts today on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is THINGS WITH WINGS.  What a versatile theme, right?  I chose the darling Pixie image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  She is so very sweet!

This card is smaller than the standard slimline cards.  It measures 3.5" x 6.25.  I followed an awesome video tutorial by Karen Aicken.  Her video shows you how to use 6" x 6" papers to create mini slimline cards.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FPXyyvWzig

Here is a side view:

This cutie is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I applied Liquid Pearls (Petal Pink) to the butterflies' bodies, and Wink of Stella to the fairy's wings.

If you would like to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, see here.  And, if you join in the fun, you may win some beautiful images.

Thank you for visiting.  It always brightens my day.  Hugs, Lori xx
