Iris by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hi lovely peeps!  This is my DT card which I made for Ching-Chou Kuik's monthly Facebook challenge.
She also has a blog challenge.
This week, the design team members were asked to create a card with "Dots and/or Stripes".  This is what I came up with:

This beautiful image is Ching-Chou Kuik's "Iris", and is found here:
What a beauty she is!  Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils were used to colour this lovely image.  Since I love to make flowers, the iris and the other flowers are handmade.  I wish you a happy week.  Lori xx

Hummingbirds by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hi there, crafty friends!  I hope you had a happy weekend.  This week's theme for the DT members for Ching-Chou's Facebook challenge is "Shabby Chic/Distressed".  See here for details:

If you are interested, there is also a blog challenge.

I used the lovely "Hummingbirds" image by Ching-Chou Kuik.  You can find it here in her etsy shop:

This is the first time that I made a shabby/chic card and I really enjoyed making it.  I distressed the edges of the patterned paper at the top to achieve an old and weathered look. As always, I used a combination of Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils to colour this fabulous image.  The iris is handmade.  Have a nice week.  Until next time.  xx
