Cecilia by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  I hope you are well.  The theme for this week's new challenge on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is:

ADD A NUMBER

For my Design Team card, I chose the lovely Cecilia image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  Here is my card:

I coloured her with Copic markers, and I drew a simple background.  The number 9 was cut out with a Cricut machine.

If you wish to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, please see here.  And, while there, how about joining our challenge?  There are some wonderful prizes up for grabs.

There is also a Facebook group called The Paper Shelter Fan Group where you can see some fabulous inspiration by both TPS teams.

Have a lovely day.  Until next time, Lori xx

The Saxophonist by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi friends and welcome to my post.  It's time for a new challenge (#597) on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This time, the theme is:

SING A NEW SONG (or a musical instrument)

This theme also includes instruments, and so I chose a fabulous image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps called The Saxophonist.  Here is my DT slimline card:

I coloured this awesome image with Copic markers.  I added three Swarvoski crystals to the G clef.  I bought the G clef die on ebay.  The sentiment is computer generated.

There is more amazing inspiration by the other design team members here.  If you have some time, why not join our challenge?  See here.  Up for grabs are some lovely images.

There is a Facebook group that you can visit called The Paper Shelter Fan Group.  That group has more wonderful inspiration.

That's all from me today.  Have a wonderful day.  Hugs, Lori xx

The Music Practice by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  Today, a new challenge begins on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is a wonderful one:

SPRING COLOURS

Spring is my favourite season because both of my awesome sons were born in the spring.  And, since spring is the season when the world revives after the cold winter months, I very much look forward to spring.

I chose the darling image called The Music Practice by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps because it reminded me of how much I enjoy listening to the little birds singing outside my window.

I coloured this little lady with Copic markers.  The flowers are handmade and also coloured with Copic markers.  I added 3-D foam under the petals of each flower to add some dimension and some enamel dots to the centers.

If you would like more inspiration by the other design team members, please see here.  If you join our challenge, you may win some lovely images.

Also, there is a Facebook group called The Paper Shelter Fan Group for even more inspiration.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Hello friends!  The theme this week on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is

BOWS and/or PINK

I wanted to incorporate both a bow and pink colours on my DT card.  Since I love all shades of pink, it was a no brainer for me.  I chose the beautiful Cecilia image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.

I coloured this lovely lady with my trusty Copic markers, and I drew a simple background for her.

Ballerina Kitty

Hi there, peeps!

Well, another rainy day here. The theme at Aurora Wings Challenge Blog this month is a wonderful one ("Inspired by Music").  https://aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com/  As we all know, the power of music is remarkable in so many ways.

I decided to use Aurora Wings'  gorgeous "Ballerina Kitty" because, as a little girl, I always wanted to take ballet lessons.  Unfortunately, it didn't happen but there's not a day that goes by that I don't listen to music.  This delightful image makes me think of Tchaikovsky's beautiful ballet "Swan Lake".   It can be found here:

I made my own piano template.  I love to make piano shaped cards and so I've used this template a number of times.  The black keys are raised with 3-D dots.  It's tedious work but I am pleased with the results. Here is a close-up of the sweet image:

When the card is opened, you can see the piano shape:

She is coloured with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  The corner die cut is made with Crafter's Companion's "Lace Corner" die.  The tiny leaves are made with Cheery Lynn Designs' "Flourish Leaf Strip" die.   My flowers are handmade.  Ribbon and Swarovski crystals are from my stash. I'm am going to enter this card on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog as well.  http://thepapershelter.blogspot.com/

Have a lovely day!  Lori P xx
