Tuxedo Always Works by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Greetings friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  The Design Team members have been on their holiday break but now Team A is back for The Paper Shelter's first challenge (#621) of 2025.

The theme for this week is:

A WINTERY PROJECT or
SHADES OF BLUE

I decided to go with the Shades of Blue theme for my card.  I chose the fabulous Tuxedo Always Works by TPS digital stamps.  I used this image once before but with different colours.  Here is my DT card:

I used Copic markers to colour this awesome image.  The flower is handmade, and is raised with 3-D foam.  I used a slimline die and sized it so that it would fit onto my A-6 card.

If you would like to see more wonderful inspiration by the other Design Team members, see here.  And, while there, why not join our challenge.  There are some lovely images to be won.

TPS also has a Facebook group called The Paper Shelter Fan Group. where you will find inspiration by both Design Teams, and other crafters as well.

That's all from me for this post.  Until next time, Lori xx

Conie Fong's New YouTube Videos

Hello dear friends!  I am excited to share some wonderful news with you today.  Conie Fong now has some fabulous YouTube videos which teach you how to draw simple images.  Isn't that awesome?

My card today features Conie Fong's sweet little dog.  This little dog was turned into a digital stamp for the Design Team members to use so you can get an idea of how cute and versatile this little dog is when coloured and used to make a card.

Would you like to learn how to draw it?  If you do, check it out here.  And, Conie has some other amazing videos where you can learn to draw gift boxes, Santa, Christmas trees, a candy cane, and more videos to come.  See here.

If you enjoy watching these videos, won't you please subscribe, like and comment to her channel.

Conie also has a new Facebook group called Draw with Conie.  You can share your drawings that you created by following her videos on this group.

I coloured the little dog with Copic markers.  The bone with the sentiment is handmade.  I used a small heart die to make a template, printed the sentiment, and overlayed the template over the sentiment.  Finally, I fussy cut around the template...and voila... a bone!

Thank you for visiting.  Stay well, and Happy Holidays to you and your families.

Giselle by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  Is it really July already?  Where does the time go?  It's time for a new challenge (#561) on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is:

LAYER IT UP

This fabulous image is Giselle by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  I coloured her with Copic markers, and I drew a very simple background for her.

On the base of the card, I used a slimline die and added the the floral patterned paper.  On top of that, I added the blue frame and the  checkered paper and, finally, I added the sentiment.  So, that makes four layers.

Check out more inspiration by the other Design Team members here.  If you have time, why not join our challenge?  There are some wonderful prizes to be won.  And, TPS has a group on Facebook.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a lovely day.  Lori xx

Hello friends!  Welcome to my first DT post this year for Conie Fong.  I cannot believe that we are already halfway through January.  Where does the time go?

Today, I am showcasing the gorgeous Artistic Leilani image.  This digital stamp includes nine images.  I love this image so much that I plan to create a number of cards with it.   Here is my inspirational card:

As always, I love using a combination of Copic markers and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils to colour my images.

That's all from me today.  Thanks so much for visiting.  Enjoy your day.  Happy crafting, Lori xx

Nap in a Cup by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello, lovely friends!  Last week, The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog reached its 500th challenge.  What an achievement, right?  That said, welcome to this week's challenge (#501).  The theme is "One for the Boys".  I chose the adorable "Nap in a Cup" image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  What a versatile image!

I coloured the image with Copic markers.  I used the unused portion of my slimline die, rather than the actual die cut.  I thought that was pretty clever...LOL

Don't forget to stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog for more wonderful inspiration by the rest of the other Design Team members.  You won't be disappointed.  And, while there, why not join in the fun?  There are some fabulous prizes to be won.

I wish you a happy day, and I thank you for stopping by.  Hugs, Lori xx

Thank you for stopping by.  I truly appreciate it.  I wish you a lovely day.  Hugs, Lori xx

I wanted to do something a bit different so I found a free light bulb clipart image on the Internet and inserted Conie's beautiful image inside the light bulb.  I like this idea...LOL  I coloured the image with Copics and Polychromos.

That's all for today.  Thank you for visiting, and hope to see you again.  In the interim, I wish you a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Gnome Gift by Conie Fong

Hey there, friends!  I hope you are all doing well.  Today, I am sharing my slimline card, as DT for Conie Fong, which I created for her monthly Facebook challenge. See here:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/396730687168777/?multi_permalinks=1779920055516493

I used one gnome ("Gnome Gift"  #3) from Conie's Christmas gnomes bundle, found here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/880719854/sale-digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=shop_home_active_43

I love these cute mythical creatures, especially Conie's gnomes.

Slimline cards are all the craze now.  At first, I really did not like them very much but they are starting to grow on me.  LOL  They fit into a regular #10 business envelope.  How convenient is that, right?

I coloured this darling little guy with Copics and Polychromos.

Thank you for visiting, and hope to see you again.  I always appreciate it.  Have a wonderful day.  Hugs, Lori xx
