Candy Cane by Conie Fong

Hello friends!  For those of you who celebrated Independence Day, I hope you had a wonderful day.  It's hard to believe that July is upon us.  Time flies too fast!

It is always a good idea to start making Christmas cards early.  I learned that lesson years ago.  That said, here is my DT inspirational slimline card using Candy Cane by Conie Fong.  This is part of Conie's Santa Gnome Gift and Sentiment Bundle.

This fabulous image is coloured with Copic markers.  The sentiment is also part of Conie's Santa Gnome Gift and Sentiment Bundle.  I added some Swarovski crystals on all the corners to balance the red colours.

If you have some time, why not visit Conie's Facebook group?  You will find some amazing inspiration, and she hosts a monthly challenge where you can win some adorable images.

Thanks so much for visiting.  It is very appreciated.  Until next time, Lori xx

Molly Cutie by Conie Fong

Hello friends!  I hope you've done all your Christmas shopping, or close to it.  I'm all set and even mailed my Christmas and Hanukkah cards this past Tuesday.  I feel so accomplished!  LOL

My DT inspirational slimline card showcases the darling Molly Cutie image by Conie Fong.  This image comes with a second image which has some minor differences, and it just as sweet.

As always, I used Copics and Polychromos to colour the image, and  I drew a simple background for this cutie. The sentiment is computer generated.

That's all from me today.  Thank you for visiting.  Have a lovely weekend.  Hugs, Lori xx

What a glorious image!  I coloured it with Copics and Polychromos.  I decided to use non traditional Christmas colours.  I inked around the edges of the image to create a warm glow.  I used glittered paper for the icicle borders.

We would love for you to join in the fun.  You can check out the other lovely creations by the other Design Team members. And, remember that there are some amazing prizes up for grabs.

Christmas Carole by Conie Fong

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my DT post today.  I made this card for Conie Fong's monthly Facebook challenge.  If you join in the fun, you may win some gorgeous images from Conie.

This beauty is "Christmas Carole" by Conie Fong.  I coloured her with my trusty Copic markers.

I used part of Spellbinders "Grand Vaulted Cabinet" dies for the frame around the image.  I have quite a few Martha Stewart Around the Page punch sets, and I find that they work rather well on slimline cards.  Granted, you can only get three sides punched out but I still think they are fabulous.  And, I get to use some of my old punches...LOL.

Thank you for stopping by; I truly appreciate it.  I wish you a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Building Snowman by Lemon Shortbread Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  Here I am again with my final Christmas card for 2020.  I made this card for the Lemon Shortbread Challenge Blog's last challenge for this year.

This sweet image brings back such fond memories of when my sons and I used to build snowmen when they were little.  We used to live in upstate New York right off Lake Ontario, and we had so much lake effect snow. Such fun!

I drew the background and added white flocking powder to her ear muffs.  I coloured the image with my Copics and Polychromos.

I wish you a wonderful and happy New Year.  Hopefully, it will be better than 2020.  Hugs to you, Lori xx

Poinsettia Gnome by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  I live in the northeastern part of New York and  you are probably aware that the northeastern areas of the U.S. had a severe winter storm yesterday.  We got 35 inches of snow!  My car is completely buried and it's 3 degrees (-16 degrees Celsius).  So cold!

This is my DT card which I designed for Conie Fong's current Facebook challenge.  I used the delightful "Poinsettia Gnome" image, found here:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/911455079/sale-digital-stamp-digi-stamp-digistamp?ref=shop_home_active_5&pro=1

This is the second card that I made with this darling image.  I coloured him with Copics and Polychromos.  The mistletoe is a free clipart image which I fussy cut and added 3-D foam to all the leaves.  I then added Stickles (Christmas Red) to the berries.

That's all from me today.  Thanks so much for visiting. I wish you a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Happy Monday, peeps!  I am sharing my 3rd card, as a Design Team member for Ching-Chou Kuik, which I made for her monthly Facebook challenge.  She also has a challenge blog.
November's theme is "Remembrance/Thanksgiving/Thinking of You" but the DT members' theme for this week is "Christmas".  I used the stunning "Merry Season" image, found here:

How gorgeous she is!  I've coloured her mostly with Copic markers and a tiny bit with Polychromos pencils.  The white snowflakes are superimposed with the red ones for depth.  I added clear Swarovski crystals to the snowflakes so the card is nice and sparkly.  I made the pinwheel bow and added tiny bells on top.  I wish you a wonderful week.  Hugs, Lori xx

Snowflakes:  EK Success punches and The Paper Studio (small snowflakes)

Snowman and Birdie Friends by Conie Fong

Hi!  I hope you all had a happy weekend.  I love this sweet image and so I made a 2nd shaker card with it.  You can find "Snowman and Birdie Friends" in Conie's etsy shop here:

As a DT member for Conie, I made this for her monthly Facebook Challenge.

I used a mason jar rubber stamp, fussy cut it (leaving 1/8 inch border around the image), and used 3-D pop dots to raise the jar so I could place the shaved ice into it.  I stamped the image again on silver paper and cut the lid out so it looks more realistic.

I coloured the image with Copics and  FC pencils.  I cut the snowflake and the snowflake corner twice and offset both die cuts to create some depth.  Enjoy your day.  xx

Materials and Tools Used

Stamp:         Hot Fudge Studio "Mason Jar" rubber stamp
Corner:        Memory Box "Snowflake Corner" die
Snowflake:  Impression Obsession "Snowflakes" die 024-x
Title:            Designs by Winther free clipart

Bells, ribbon, Swarovski crystals, Magic Scraps Shaved Ice, glittered paper, and silver paper are from my stash.

Snowman and Birdie Friends by Conie Fong

Hi!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I am definitely not a summer person.  It's been in the high 80's here and very humid.  Mosquitoes and bugs everywhere.  Yuck!  I do, however, love the long days, beautifully coloured flowers, and the lush grass and trees.

The theme for Conie Fong's Facebook challenge this month is "Always Anything Goes" with an option of "Create a Shaker Card".
In addition to the monthly challenge, there is also a monthly Colouring Only challenge.
I made a shaker card a few years ago, so this is only my second one.  Here is my DT inspirational card:

This darling image is"Snowman and Birdie Friends" by Conie, which can be found here:
I used Copic markers and Polychromos pencils to colour this sweet image.  The poinsettia is handmade.  I decided to make some falling snow around the image with Nuvo glitter drops.  The shaker itself is filled with Shaved Ice and tiny snowflakes.  Have a nice weekend.  xx

Letters:           Cricut Expression cutting machine
Shaker:           Jillibean Soup "Small Circle" shaped shaker
