Angel Whispers by Conie Fong

Hello peeps!  I hope you are all doing well.  My DT inspirational card today showcases a gorgeous image by Conie Fong called Angel Whispers.  It is available in both PNG format and JPG format, and comes with two butterflies and 3 sentiments.

I coloured this beauty with Copic markers, and applied clear Wink of Stella to her wings. I inked the embossing folder and added a few tiny flowers.

Conie hosts a monthly challenge on Facebook. If you join in the fun, you may win some beautiful images.

That's all from me today. Happy 4th of July to my American friends. Stay safe and have a wonderful weekend. Lori xx

Twinkle Angel Nellie by Conie Fong

Hello friends.  I cannot help but to think of what winter storms Uri and Viola have done to Texas and southeastern U.S.  Plus, Uri has continued to wreak havoc all the way up to Maine.  What is happening to our country?  So devastating.

On a brighter note, I am sharing my DT card which I created for Conie Fong's current Facebook challenge.

Angel Wishes by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  Hope you enjoyed your weekend.  It's so hot here.  Temps have been in the mid to upper 90's.  Too hot for me...LOL!
I made this card for Conie Fong's current Facebook challenge (theme:  "Things with Wings").

This exquisite image is "Angel Wishes" by Conie Fong, found here:
I wanted this card to have a delicate and airy quality so I kept the colours soft and added a lovely feather.  Copic markers were used to colour this sweet image.  I applied clear Wink of Stella on her wings.

I wish you a happy week, and I thank you for visiting.  Hugs, Lori xx

Angel Wishes by Conie Fong

Hello, crafty friends!  This month's Facebook theme over at Conie Fong's Art and Design Group is "Always Anything Goes" with an option of  "Anything But a Card".
  https://www.facebook.com/groups/396730687168777/
This is my DT inspirational project:

I started off with the cute wooden box that houses Brie cheese by President:

I coated the entire box with gesso.  Then, I painted it with purple acrylic paint.  Finally, I applied Mod Podge (matte finish) all over it to seal it.

I used the darling "Angel Wishes" image by Conie Fong, found here in her etsy shop:
I coloured this beautiful image with Copics and FC Polychromos pencils.  I glued the patterned paper, the image and the frames onto the box and applied Mod Podge over them.

I wanted the lace (which was white) to match so I dyed it purple with Glimmer Mist, and glued it around the box.  I lined the insides of the box (top and bottom) with white felt. Lastly, I added the flowers and other embellishments and, voila, my finished box!
Here are some other views:

I had so much fun creating this altered box.  Hope you have a lovely day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Frame:     Spellbinders "Label 18" dies
Flourish:  Cheery Lynn "Fanciful Flourish" die (small)
Flowers:   EK Success "Gardenia" punch, Fiskars punch (small)

Gesso, Mod Podge, lace, floss, gems, prills, Glimmer Mist, acrylic paint and felt are from my stash.

Angel Wishes by Conie Fong

Hi!  I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's Day.  My older son, who lives close to me, surprised me by coming to my apartment equipped with all the ingredients necessary to make goulash.  He is quite the cook and the dinner was truly delicious.  I was so touched by his thoughtful gesture!

Today, I am happy to share my DT card featuring the super sweet image "Angel Wishes" by Conie Fong.  This endearing image comes with the little angel facing left and right, and is found in Conie's etsy shop here:
I made this card for Conie's monthly Facebook challenge.  The theme this month is "Add Flowers" - right up my alley.
Conie also has a Colouring Only challenge.

I used my Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils to colour this darling image.  My handmade flowers are small because I wanted the primary focus to be on the image.  I wish you a lovely day.  xx
