Art Nouveau Bloom by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Greetings friends!  The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog's new challenge started yesterday.  For my Design Team card, I chose the lovely Art Nouveau Bloom by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.

Flower and Ladybug YouTube Video by Conie Fong

Hello friends and welcome to my post.  Today, I am featuring the adorable Flower and Ladybug image by Conie Fong.  Conie teaches you how to draw this sweet image by following her wonderful YouTube video here.  Conie also has other fabulous images whereby she teaches you how to draw them.  How fun is that?

So that you can get a better idea of how versatile and cute this image is, Conie has converted it to JPG format for the Design Team members.  Here is my Design Team card:

Dutch Pure Love by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

I colored this sweet image with Copic markers.  I added some handmade flowers and raised them with 3-D foam for added dimension.

Little Mermaid by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  As you probably know, May is MerMay month.  It's no secret that I adore mermaids and so I am showcasing Conie Fong's newest image in her etsy shop called Little Mermaid.  What a cutie!  Here is my Design Team card:

I coloured her with Copic markers, and then I fussy cut her.  The lovely background paper is from Heartfelt Creations "Under the Sea" paper pad.

Conie has a new YouTube channel called Draw with Conie where she teaches you how to draw a simple mermaid, along with some other fabulous and simple images.  And, Conie has two Facebook groups.  One Facebook group is called Draw with Conie.  You can submit your drawings on that group.

Conie's second Facebook group is called Conie Fong Art & Design Group.  That groups has some amazing inspiration.

Sitting Pretty on a Mushroom by Conie Fong

Hello dear friends, and welcome to today's post.  It's Fairy Day over on Conie Fong's Facebook group and the DTs have created some beautiful fairy cards.  I used the darling Sitting Pretty on a Mushroom image by Conie Fong.  Here is my DT card:

As always, I coloured this sweetie with Copic markers.  I applied clear Wink of Stella to her wings for a pretty shimmer, and I also added some 3-D stickers on the frame.  I generally gravitate toward bold/bright colours but there are times that a prefer softer colours, like the background on this card.

Ballerina Kitty 3 by Aurora Wings

Hello friends!  The 2021 Cat Lovers Hop is going on right now on Her Peaceful Garden.   It ends on October 30 so there is still time to join in.  So, what are you waiting for?  

I am so excited to join the Hop this time.  For my card, I have selected the gorgeous "Ballerina Kitty 3" image by Aurora Wings.  What a delightful and sweet kitty!  I coloured her up with Copics and Polychromos.  

I made my own template for the piano keys, and the black keys are raised with 3-D foam.  It took a long time to create but I am very happy with the result.  The orange flower is handmade.

As always, I used Copic markers and Polychromos pencils to colour the image.  I used my crimping tool on the tree to add texture.  I found the lanterns on the Internet on a free clip art site.  I coloured and fussy cut each one, and raised them with 3-D foam.

Purple Balloon by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hello everyone!  Hope your weekend was nice.  My weekend was rather trying because we had an ice storm on Friday, then quite a bit of snow, and three power outages, all on the same day. Crazy! The ice storm covered every single branch.  It was incredibly beautiful.  When the sun finally came out for a bit, everything was sparkling.  Afterwards, it snowed.  What a breathtaking sight!  A winter wonderland, for sure.

Angel Wishes by Conie Fong

Hello, crafty friends!  This month's Facebook theme over at Conie Fong's Art and Design Group is "Always Anything Goes" with an option of  "Anything But a Card".

This is my DT inspirational project:

I started off with the cute wooden box that houses Brie cheese by President:

I coated the entire box with gesso.  Then, I painted it with purple acrylic paint.  Finally, I applied Mod Podge (matte finish) all over it to seal it.

I used the darling "Angel Wishes" image by Conie Fong, found here in her etsy shop:

I coloured this beautiful image with Copics and FC Polychromos pencils.  I glued the patterned paper, the image and the frames onto the box and applied Mod Podge over them. 

I wanted the lace (which was white) to match so I dyed it purple with Glimmer Mist, and glued it around the box.  I lined the insides of the box (top and bottom) with white felt. Lastly, I added the flowers and other embellishments and, voila, my finished box!
