Lil Witches Halloween card 2 - Whimsy Stamps

Greetings friends!  I posted a Halloween card a few days ago and I am now posting a second card that I made with Whimsy Stamps pre-colored Quick Card Fronts called "Lil Witches".  This second card has the same design but, this time, I used another cute image and inked the edges of the frame with purple instead of aqua.  You can use these fabulous Quick Card Fronts as they are, or you can embellish them.

As before, I used a frame die and inked the edges with distress ink.  Next, I gently inked the edges with black ink to create a spattered effect.  The frame and the sentiment are matted on glitter paper.

That's all from me for this post.  Take care, Lori xx

Lil Witches Halloween card 1 - Whimsy Stamps

Greetings friends!  Halloween always evokes some special and cherished memories for me of when my kids were little and we went Trick-or-Treating.  They are adults now but that doesn't stop me from making a Halloween card for them. LOL

I decided to use an adorable pre-colored image by Whimsy Stamps called "Lil Witches" Quick Card Fronts.  There are quite a number of these fabulous quick card fronts that are available.  All you have to do is to embellish them, or just use them as they are.

I used a frame die and inked the edges with distress ink.  Then, I gently inked the sides with black ink to create a spattered effect.  I matted the frame and sentiment with black glitter paper.

That's all from me today.  Have a lovely weekend.  Lori xx

Broomstick Emily by Conie Fong

Hello friends, and welcome to today's post.  My DT card features one of Conie Fong's recent releases.  This little cutie is Broomstick Emily.  She comes facing right and left, and in both JPG and PNG formats.

This is the third card that I made with this super sweet image.  I drew the background except for the haunted house which is a clipart image.  I used Copic markers to colour the image and the scene.  I stamped the kitty with a very old stamp.  The little ghost is a die cut.

Conie Fong has a Facebook group where you can see some amazing inspiration.  And, you can join Conie's monthly challenge.  If you do, you may win some delightful images.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.  Until next time, Lori xx

Broomstick Emily by Conie Fong

Hello friends!  My DT card today features Broomstick Emily by Conie Fong.  She is one of two new releases.  I love the fall weather, and the temperatures here are finally cooling down.  I also love Halloween because it brings back such wonderful memories of my kids when they were young and went Trick-or-Treating.  Here is my card:

I decided to draw a background for this cutie.  The image and background are coloured with Copic markers.  I then stamped some tiny cobwebs around the wall and added a little ghost die cut.  The black kitty is a very old stamp which I had in my stash.

Conie has a monthly Facebook challenge.  If you have time, why not join in the fun?  There are some adorable images to be won.  If you want some amazing inspiration, just visit Conie's Facebook group.

Buffy n Friends by Digi Doodle Studios Digi Stamps

Greetings friends!  Welcome to my DT post today for Digi Doodle Studios.  Halloween always evokes such warm and wonderful memories for me.  My kids and I very much enjoyed decorating the inside of our house, as well as the outside, for this fun holiday.  My sons loved wearing their costumes to school, and taking part in the parade outside the school while proud parents watched them.  Then, we would go Trick-or-Treating after dinner while their dad waited for other Trick-or Treaters to visit our house.

This sweet image is Buffy n Friends by Digi Doodle Studios.  I drew the background except for the haunted house.  Copics and Polychromos were used to colour the image and background.

Digi Doodle Studios has both a challenge blog and a Facebook challenge.  The Theme this month is CREEPY CUTE / SPOOKY / BELIEVE IN MAGIC.

This will be my last post for Digi Doodle Studios because they are shutting down at the end of this month.  Why not visit their etsy shop before they close their doors?  DDS will, however, continue to create adorable clear stamps, dies and more on Ink n' Splatter.

That's all from me today.  I thank you for visiting, and I with you a wonderful day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Happy Witches Brew by Digi Doodle Studios

Hello friends!  Halloween always brings back some wonderful memories of my children when they would dress up in their costumes and go Trick-or-Treating around our neighbourhood.  What fun they had!  Of course, I would drive them to each house.  I also had a lot of fun making their costumes.

The theme on the Digi Doodle Studios Challenge Blog this month is CREEPY CUTE / SPOOKY / BELIEVE IN MAGIC.  There is also a DDS Facebook challenge.

I chose the fabulous Happy Witches Brew by Digi Doodle Studios for my DT card.  I just had to draw a background for this cute witch.

I used a combination of Copics and Polychromos to colour the image and background.  The cobwebs and the cute little black kitty are stamps that I have in my stash.

I am really sad to inform you that Digi Doodle Studios will be closing its etsy shop at the end of this month.  So, hurry over and visit before they close their doors.  They will, however, continue to produce clear stamps, dies and more on Ink n' Splatter.

Thank you for visiting.  I truly appreciate it.  Have a lovely day, and take good care of yourselves.  Hugs, Lori xx

I used Copics and Polychromos to colour the image.  I cut the cobweb twice to give it some dimension and interest.

Ching-Chou also has a challenge blog.  If you enter either challenge, or both, you may win some beautiful images.

Wynona Witch (with Cooking Pot Basket) by Conie Fong

Hi dear peeps!  Today, I am happy to share my altered liquor bottle project, as DT for Conie Fong, which I made for Conie's monthly Facebook challenge.  This month's theme is "Anything But a Card".
I love altering liquor bottles and this was so much fun to make.   This is a long post, so here goes:

This is the bottle before I altered it:

After removing the labels and cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, I applied a coat of gesso.  Then, I painted the entire bottle with orange acrylic paint.  I lightly sponged red acrylic paint over the orange areas.  Next, I sponged on some purple acrylic paint around the perimeters of each side.  Once they were dry, I applied a coat of matte Mod Podge over the entire bottle to seal it.

Then, I added the image and the other die cuts around the bottle.  The image is coloured with Copics and Polychromos pencils.  I drew the background fence.  Finally, I applied Mod Podge to the image and the die cuts.  Here are more views:

Right side view:
The spider is raised with 3-D foam dots and I added Swarovski crystals for its eyes.

OK, now I'm done - LOL!  Until next time.  Hugs, Lori xx

Wynona Witch

Hello everybody!

Here I am with my DT Halloween card which I created for  Conie Fong's October Monthly Challenge on Facebook.
Conie also has an October Coloring Challenge.  This endearing image is "Wynona Witch".  Isn't she just precious? This image comes in 2 versions:  Wynona holding a pumpkin basket and another with her holding a cooking pot basket. You can find them in Conie's etsy shop here:

A close-up of this cutie:

She is coloured with a combination of Copic markers and FB Polychromos pencils.  The cute little ghosts are made with Memory Box's "Ghost Trio" die.  The "Spiderweb Corner" die is from Frantic Stamper.  I cannot remember who makes the little fence die.  Gems and cheese cloth are from my stash.  No flowers?  What's happening to me - LOL!  Enjoy your day.  Lori P xx

Sunflower Night

Hi peeps!  Another Monday upon us.  It's been cloudy and/or raining here nearly every single day.  What has happened to the sun?  Today, I am showcasing my 2nd DT card created for Ching-Chou Kuik's monthly Facebook challenge (theme: Halloween).
You can win some lovely images if you join in.  Halloween always evokes some wonderful memories for me.  I always sewed my sons' costumes when they were little, and what fun it was to go Trick-or-Treating with them.  Oh, how I miss those times!  Without further ado, here is my card:

This beautiful image is "Sunflower Night" by Ching-Chou Kuik and can be found here:

A closer look of this beautiful image:

I have coloured her with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  The "Corner Cobweb" and "Ghost Trio" dies are by Memory Box, the "Iron Fence" and "Drippy Goo Edge" punches are by Martha Stewart.  If you look closely, there are no flowers!!!  Very unusual for me!  I wish you a lovely day.  Lori P xx
