Cherie Cherry by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  This week, we have a wonderful theme on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog:  SHAPED CARD.  I love making shaped cards but I don't create them very often.  I chose the beautiful Cherie Cherry image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  I always like to create a background for my images and so I drew one for this lovely lady.  Here is my Design Team card:

I used Copic markers and Polychromos pencils to colour the image.  My flower is handmade.

Thank you for stopping by.  I truly appreciate it.  And, don't forget to visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to see what the other Design Team members created.  We would love to see your creations and, of course, the usual amazing prize is up for grabs:

Well, that's all from me for this post.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Birthday Layout

Hi friends!  My sons celebrated their birthday last month and I came across this photo of them a few weeks ago when they were young.  I remember that day as if it was yesterday.  How time flies!

I rarely make scrapbook layouts now but I couldn't resist making this one.  Such fun! The fireworks and the tiny candles border are from some old SVG files.  I applied Swarovski crystals in the centers.  The title is computer generated and is mounted over some different coloured mulberry papers.

I would like to enter this layout in the National Scrapbook Day 2022 Giveaway on the Simon Says Stamp Blog.   Have a happy day.  Until next time, Lori xx

Fairy of the Cookies by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  Welcome to my DT post for this week's challenge (#509) on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  Our challenge this week is to create a birthday card.  I chose the darling "Fairy of the Cookies" by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  I love fairies and I love cookies and so this was the perfect choice for my card.

The simple scene is drawn by me, and I used Copics and Polychromos to colour this adorable image.  I applied Wink of Stella (clear) to her wings for a lovely shimmer. The whisk is a clipart freebie which I found on the Internet.  I fussy cut it, added some floss and a couple of small flowers to it.  The flowers are handmade.

Remember to stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog for more wonderful inspiration by the other Design Team members.  And, while you are there, why not join in the fun?  There are some fabulous prizes to be won.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you all again soon.  In the meantime, I wish you a lovely day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Sending Joy by Your Next Stamp

Hello dear friends!  I decided to make a second Christmas card for the Spring Into Christmas 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party.  This time I used the super adorable Sending Joy image by Your Next Stamp.

As always, I used Copics and Polychromos to colour this darling image.  I made a nearly identical card some time ago using a different image so I didn't have to worry about coming up with a new design.  There is still time to join in the fun.  See here:

Thank you so much for visiting.  I wish you a lovely day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Gnome with Heart Balloon by Conie Fong

Hi friends!  Today is another very special day for me.  It is my younger son's birthday.  He is such an amazing young man.  I am so proud of him.  A week ago today, my older son celebrated his birthday.  That said, April is my favourite month of the year.  The card that I sent to him features "Gnome with Heart Balloon" by Conie Fong.  It is available in both PNG and JPG formats.  And, it comes with nine images.  Awesome!

This sweet cutie was coloured with Copics and Polychromos.  I drew the little scene for him.  Conie Fong has a monthly Facebook challenge.  There are some adorable images to be won, so why not join in the fun?  And, there is a giveaway there also which ends on April 30. Check here.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.  I sincerely appreciate it.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx
