Flamingo YouTube Video by Conie Fong

Hi friends! I cannot believe that April is almost gone. I wanted to post this card before next month. Conie Fong has a wonderful YouTube video whereby she teaches you how to draw this adorable flamingo. See here: Conie converted this image to JPG format so that you can see how truly fabulous and versatile this image is. Here is my Design Team card:

I decided to use a clipart background.  I fussy cut the flamingo and place it over this awesome background.  The flamingo is coloured with Copic markers.

Conie has quite a number of simple images that you can learn to draw by following her wonderful, step by step, tutorials.  See here.  If you draw one of Conie's images, then you can post it on her Facebook group called Draw with Conie.

Conie also has another Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design Group where the DT members and other crafters post their cards using Conie's images from her etsy shop.

Have a lovely day, Lori xx

Bluebird by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - Card #2

Hello everybody!  Last week, I made a card using the beautiful "Bluebird" digital image by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  Since I coloured two of this beautiful image at the same time, I decided to make a second card with it.  I coloured this one with mostly FC Polychromos pencils and a few Copic markers.  The flowers are handmade.

There is a December giveaway going on right now on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Facebook group.  The winner will receive one stamp set of their choice free each month of 2022.  Isn't that fabulous?  I plan on entering the giveaway with my second card as well.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

I thank you for taking the time to visit.  I hope to see you soon.  Merry Christmas!  Hugs, Lori xx

Bluebird by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps

Hello friends!  Are you ready for Christmas?  I am good to go.  It's snowing right now so it's already beginning to look like a winter wonderland.  Perfect!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is having a December giveaway on Facebook where someone will win one stamp set of their choice free each month for 2022.  That is truly amazing!  Here is my entry:

I used the beautiful "Bluebird" digital image by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I coloured it with Copic markers.  The flower on the top left is handmade.  I added tiny pieces of 3-D foam to the flower and the foliage for added dimension.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, and a healthy and Happy New Year.  Hugs, Lori xx

Snowy the Penguin Flying Kite by Conie Fong

Hi peeps!  I am sharing my clean and simple DT card today.  This style of card is out of the ordinary for me.  I sent it to my brother for Father's Day.

The adorable image is "Snowy the Penguin Flying Kite", found here in Conie's etsy shop:

What an adorable and versatile image.  My card is for Conie's current Facebook Challenge. The theme this month is "Male/Fathers".  There is still time to join in the fun.
I freehanded the hills and sponged the edges.  I made the sun by using a free clipart image and raised the circle with 3-D foam.  As usual, I coloured the image with Copic markers.

That's all from me today.  I wish you a happy weekend, and a wonderful Father's Day to all the fathers out there.  Hugs, Lori xx

Harmony by Ching-Chou Kuik

Hi friends!  My DT card today showcases the gorgeous "Harmony" image by Ching-Chou Kuik, found here:
The theme this month is "Easter or Floral" but, this week, the Design Team members were challenged to use the "Spotlighting Technique".  I have never used this technique before and I must say that I enjoyed it.  I made this for Ching-Chou's current Facebook challenge.  She also has a blog challenge.  Check them out here:

The image was printed twice.  I coloured part of one image, cut it out, and placed a black mat behind it, and voila!  I used Copics and Polychromos to colour it.  The flowers are handmade.  That's all from me today.  Thank you for visiting.  Enjoy your day and stay safe.  Hugs, Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Birdy

Hi everybody!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  I had some fun yesterday colouring this super cute image which is a freebie at Twinkle Lane Designs Official Group on Facebook.
There are some really darling images in their etsy shop:

Here is the card that I made:

The image is coloured with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.
The flowers are handmade. The fence is drawn by me.  Ribbon, Swarvovski crystals and pearls are from my stash.  I used Nuvo Glitter Drops (White Buzzard) on the body of the butterfly.

Have a lovely day.  Lori P xx
