Retro Space Girl by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hello friends!  It's hard to believe that it's already April.  My favourite month of the year.  Both my sons celebrate their birthday this month so April is extra special to me.

My DT card this week is for the The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog's new challenge (#549).  The theme is

IS IT A BIRD?  IS IT A PLANE?  (anything that flies)

I chose the fabulous Retro Space Girl by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps for my DT card, and coloured her with Copic markers.  I added some clouds, printed part of the sentiment on the sides of the image, and used a free clipart image for the sentiment on the right.

Remember to stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to see more amazing inspiration by the other Design Team members.  And, if you have time, why not join in the fun?  There are some wonderful prizes to be won.

Thank you for stopping by.  Have a lovely day.  Until next time, Lori  xx

The Final Touch by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hi friends!  Hope you are well.  The theme for this week's challenge (#547) on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog is

FOR A CHILD

I chose the adorable The Final Touch image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps because what child does not like ice cream, right?  For that matter, who doesn't like ice cream?  I know I do!  LOL  Here is my DT card:

As always, I used by trusty Copic markers to colour this charming image.  I added some cute corners and a drippy border at the bottom.

For more inspiration, please visit The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog where you will see some fabulous cards made by the other Design Team members.  While there, why not join us?  Up for grabs are some really wonderful images.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a lovely day.  Lori xx

Jerina and Kitty by Digi Doodle Studios

Hello, dear friends!  I am sharing my second DT card today which I created for the new challenge on the Digi Doodle Challenge Blog. And, while you are there, you can check out the other creations by the rest of the Design Team.

There are six new darling images on Digi Doodle Digi Stamps.  I used one of them called Jerina and Kitty.  Looks like this cute pair is practicing some relaxation techniques.

The theme this month is By the Sea / At the Sea / Under the Sea

I have always found that being near a lake, a sea or an ocean is so tranquil and so I decided to draw the pier and the background.  I coloured this adorable image with Copics and Polychromos.

Digi Doodle Studios also has a Facebook challenge.  Why not pop in and join in the fun on one, or both challenges?

Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you soon.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Hello friends!  Are you ready for Christmas?  I am good to go.  It's snowing right now so it's already beginning to look like a winter wonderland.  Perfect!

I used the beautiful "Bluebird" digital image by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I coloured it with Copic markers.  The flower on the top left is handmade.  I added tiny pieces of 3-D foam to the flower and the foliage for added dimension.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, and a healthy and Happy New Year.  Hugs, Lori xx

What an adorable and versatile image.  My card is for Conie's current Facebook Challenge. The theme this month is "Male/Fathers".  There is still time to join in the fun.

Snowman and Birdie Friends by Conie Fong

Hi!  I hope you all had a happy weekend.  I love this sweet image and so I made a 2nd shaker card with it.  You can find "Snowman and Birdie Friends" in Conie's etsy shop here:

As a DT member for Conie, I made this for her monthly Facebook Challenge.

I used a mason jar rubber stamp, fussy cut it (leaving 1/8 inch border around the image), and used 3-D pop dots to raise the jar so I could place the shaved ice into it.  I stamped the image again on silver paper and cut the lid out so it looks more realistic.

I coloured the image with Copics and  FC pencils.  I cut the snowflake and the snowflake corner twice and offset both die cuts to create some depth.  Enjoy your day.  xx

Materials and Tools Used

Stamp:         Hot Fudge Studio "Mason Jar" rubber stamp
Corner:        Memory Box "Snowflake Corner" die
Snowflake:  Impression Obsession "Snowflakes" die 024-x

Bells, ribbon, Swarovski crystals, Magic Scraps Shaved Ice, glittered paper, and silver paper are from my stash.
