Bumble Becca by Digi Doodle Studios

Hello friends, and welcome to my post today.  Digi Doodle Studios' new challenge has started.  The theme is METAL and/or SPARKLE.  I love anything sparkly and so I chose to go with SPARKLE.  There is also a DDS Facebook challenge.

This darling image is one of the images from the new release.  She is called "Bumble Becca".

The background is drawn by me, and I coloured her with my usual mediums (Copics and Polychromos).  I used black glitter cardstock for all the mats, and I applied clear Wink of Stella glitter to her wings.

I am sad to inform you that DDS will be retiring their digital line but they will continue to produce their clear stamps on Ink n' Splatter.  Also, there is a retirement sale going on now until September 11.

Well, that's all from me today.  Thank you for visiting.  I hope to see you again.  Hugs, Lori xx

Daisy Elf by Aurora Wings

Hi friends!  I decided to make a clean and simple card using the sweet "Daisy Elf" image by Aurora Wings.  I wanted to add some interest, so I used an embossing folder by Darice called "Scroll Flourish Corner".

This sweet little elf is coloured with Copic markers, as is the butterfly.  The lovely "Leanna Butterfly" die is by Memory Box.  I added glitter to the elf's wings and the butterflies' wings.

That's all from me today. Thank you for visiting. I wish you a wonderful day. Hugs, Lori  xx

The Swarovski crystals on the butterfly's body are from my stash.

Snow Drop by Ching-Chou Kuik

Good morning/afternoon to you!  It's hard to believe that it's July.  The weather has been lovely for the most part.  That always makes me happy.

The theme for Ching-Chou Kuik's Facebook challenge this month is "Make Your Own Background".  Check it out:
I used the beautiful "Snow Drop" image, found here:

Here is my DT inspirational card:

Look at that glorious head of hair!  I used an embossing folder to create the background.  Then, I added yellow and orange Gelatos to it.  I made my own template for the snowdrops.  Now, I always enjoy making my own flowers but I will never again make another snowdrop flower.  What a hassle - LOL!  The image is coloured with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  I wish you a lovely day!  xx

Materials and Tools Used

Frame:                     Sizzix Framelets "Dotted Squares" die
Butterflies:               Martha Stewart "Royal" butterfly punch
Embossing Folder:  Cuttlebug 5" x 7" (don't know name)

Tea for Two by Conie Fong

Hello everybody!  My DT card today features the gorgeous "Tea for Two" image by Conie Fong.  Every time I look at this image it makes me smile.  This is the second time I've coloured it.  You can find it in Conie's etsy shop here:
This card is for Conie's monthly Facebook challenge.
The theme is "Use a Number".  As you can see, the number is part of the sentiment.

Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils were used to colour this image.  The flower is handmade.  I decided to draw a serving tray under the image this time (last time I drew a placemat).  Have a happy week.  Lori xx

Materials and Tools Used

Border:   Memory Box "Pristine Border" die
Flower:   Fiskars punch
Embossing Folder:  Cuttlebug "Swiss Dots"
The lace is from my stash.

Delilah by Conie Fong

Hi everyone! I would like to share my first DT inspirational card which I made for Conie's Fong's first Facebook challenge for 2019.  The theme is "Any Kind of Shaped Card".  If you prefer to not use this theme, you can always opt for "Anything Goes".  Conie also has a colouring only contest.  Check it out: contest.https://www.facebook.com/groups/396730687168777/

I love to make shaped cards.  I used the lovely "Delilah" image which you can find in Conie's etsy shop here:
So, without further ado, here is my shaped card:

This card opens at the bottom.  Here is a side view:

The sweet image is coloured with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  The flowers and pinwheel bow are handmade.  The pink "frosting" is raised with pop dots.  If you closely, my nail polish matches the cupcake wrapper - LOL!  Pure coincidence!

Materials and Tools Used

Card Base:               Free cupcake clipart
Flowers:                   SVG file cut with Cricut
Butterfies:                Printed and fussy cut from Conie's image
Frame:                     Spellbinders "Standard Circles Large" dies
Flourish:                  Crafter's Companion "Filigree Flourish" die
Crimper:                  Fiskars
Embossing Folder:  Cuttlebug "D'vine Swirls"

Wink of Stella (clear) was applied to the butterflies.
