Fairy Elida by Digi Doodle Studio Stamps

Hi there friends!  It's no secret that I love fairies.  That said, I am sharing my Guest Designer card which features a lovely digital fairy by Digi Doodle Studios Stamps called Fairy Elida.  You can purchase her on the Digi Doodle Studios etsy shop here.

This sweetie is colored with Copic markers. I added some clouds, some Swarovski crystals around her, and I applied some clear Wink of Stella to her wings.  The lavender strip under the sentiment was created with an embossing folder.

In addition to some adorable digital stamps, Digi Doodle Studios also has clear stamps as well as coordinating dies sets for the clear stamps.

I with you a happy day.  Until next time, Lori xx

Mushroom Snail YouTube Video by Conie Fong

Greetings, friends!  My DT card today features an adorable image, Mushroom Snail, which you can learn to draw by following Conie Fong's wonderful step by step tutorial on Draw with Conie YouTube video.  There are also other very sweet images that you can learn to draw on her YouTube channel.  Check it out here.

Conie converted this image into JPEG format for the DT members to colour so you can see how versatile and darling this image is.  I used Copic markers to colour the image.  The flower is handmade and also coloured with Copics.

If you get a chance to draw this image, you can then post it on Conie's Facebook group called Draw with Conie.

Conie has a second Facebook group called Conie Fong Art & Design Group.  There you will find more fabulous inspiration by the other DT members as well as other crafters who love Conie Fong's beautiful images.

Thank you for visiting.  Have a happy day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Gnome Couple Bundle by Conie Fong

Greetings friends!  I am so excited because Conie Fong has three brand new and adorable images in her etsy shop called Gnome Couple Bundle.  The bundle includes gnome couple, boy gnome and girl gnome.  This sweet image would be perfect for Valentine's Day or an anniversary.  It would even be fabulous for a birthday card.  Here is my DT card:

As usual, I coloured the image with my Copic markers.  I also added some little pearls on the corners of my card.

If you would like to learn how to draw this sweet little boy gnome, Conie has an amazing YouTube video that teaches you, step by step, how to draw him, along with a number of other wonderful and informative videos.  See here:

Conie Fong also has a Facebook group where you will see some  lovely inspiration.  Be sure to check it out.

Pixie by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hey there, friends!  Summer began in my neck of the woods yesterday.  I have to say that summer is my least favourite season.  Too hot and humid, and way too many bugs.  However, I do love that the days are longer.

Challenge #517 starts today on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is THINGS WITH WINGS.  What a versatile theme, right?  I chose the darling Pixie image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  She is so very sweet!

This card is smaller than the standard slimline cards.  It measures 3.5" x 6.25.  I followed an awesome video tutorial by Karen Aicken.  Her video shows you how to use 6" x 6" papers to create mini slimline cards.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FPXyyvWzig

Here is a side view:

This cutie is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I applied Liquid Pearls (Petal Pink) to the butterflies' bodies, and Wink of Stella to the fairy's wings.

If you would like to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, see here.  And, if you join in the fun, you may win some beautiful images.

Thank you for visiting.  It always brightens my day.  Hugs, Lori xx

Newton Unwinds by Newton's Nook Designs

Hi all!  I love all animals but kitties have a special place in my heart.  I rarely make a clean and simple card so I'm rather out of my comfort zone.  Here is my clean and simple card featuring the super cute "Newton Unwinds" image, found here:

The border is free standing. Here is a side view:

The image is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I was tempted to add flowers but ultimately decided against it.  The sentiment is cut twice and I offset the letters to add some interest.  Have a nice day, and stay safe.  Hugs, Lori xx

Snow Drop by Ching-Chou Kuik

Good morning/afternoon to you!  It's hard to believe that it's July.  The weather has been lovely for the most part.  That always makes me happy.

The theme for Ching-Chou Kuik's Facebook challenge this month is "Make Your Own Background".  Check it out:
I used the beautiful "Snow Drop" image, found here:

Here is my DT inspirational card:

Look at that glorious head of hair!  I used an embossing folder to create the background.  Then, I added yellow and orange Gelatos to it.  I made my own template for the snowdrops.  Now, I always enjoy making my own flowers but I will never again make another snowdrop flower.  What a hassle - LOL!  The image is coloured with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  I wish you a lovely day!  xx
