Sitting Pretty on a Mushroom by Conie Fong

Hello dear friends, and welcome to today's post.  It's Fairy Day over on Conie Fong's Facebook group and the DTs have created some beautiful fairy cards.  I used the darling Sitting Pretty on a Mushroom image by Conie Fong.  Here is my DT card:

As always, I coloured this sweetie with Copic markers.  I applied clear Wink of Stella to her wings for a pretty shimmer, and I also added some 3-D stickers on the frame.  I generally gravitate toward bold/bright colours but there are times that a prefer softer colours, like the background on this card.

Conie has a monthly Facebook challenge.  If you have some time, why not join in the fun?  There are some lovely images to be won.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope to see you all again soon.  I wish you a wonderful day, and a happy weekend.  Until next time, Lori xx

Coffee Sprite by Aurora Wings

Hello friends!  I hope you all had a nice weekend.  I start every morning with a large mug of hot black coffee.  The much anticipated 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is going on now through November 18.  There are so many wonderful super sponsors.  How exciting!

I created a card for this hop using Aurora Wings' delightful Coffee Sprite.

This sweetie is coloured with my usual mediums (Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I generally like to ground my images so I drew a very simple background.

That's all from me today.  Thank you for stopping by.  I wish you a lovely week.  Hugs, Lori xx

Pixie by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps

Hey there, friends!  Summer began in my neck of the woods yesterday.  I have to say that summer is my least favourite season.  Too hot and humid, and way too many bugs.  However, I do love that the days are longer.

Challenge #517 starts today on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  This week's theme is THINGS WITH WINGS.  What a versatile theme, right?  I chose the darling Pixie image by The Paper Shelter Digital Stamps.  She is so very sweet!

This card is smaller than the standard slimline cards.  It measures 3.5" x 6.25.  I followed an awesome video tutorial by Karen Aicken.  Her video shows you how to use 6" x 6" papers to create mini slimline cards.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FPXyyvWzig

Here is a side view:

This cutie is coloured with Copic markers and Polychromos pencils.  I applied Liquid Pearls (Petal Pink) to the butterflies' bodies, and Wink of Stella to the fairy's wings.

If you would like to see more inspiration by the other Design Team members, see here.  And, if you join in the fun, you may win some beautiful images.

Thank you for visiting.  It always brightens my day.  Hugs, Lori xx

I drew the background and added Glossy Accents to the water for a realistic look.  The image and background are coloured with Copic markers and FC Polychromos pencils.  I also added Wink of Stella (clear) to the fairy's wings.

Well, that's all from me today.  Thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to stop by The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to see the beautiful inspiration by the other Design Team members.  And, bear in mind that there are some wonderful prizes to be won if you join in the fun.  Take good care of yourself.  Hugs, Lori xx
